Welcome all! As I had become more active in my local hunting community I began to post pictures and stories on my Facebook page. I had a few friends that shared the same enthusiasm in hunting as I did; however, for every deer picture or fish picture I went to look at I had to look at ten different pictures of what I consider annoying non-sense. I don’t care who is dating who or who got a new haircut. I just wanted to see what my buddies had killed or caught that day. This led me to look around at some other sites that might meet my needs. I had no such luck. Why couldn’t I just create my own site? Not knowing how to even begin to start my own site I put the thought on the back burner and moved on. About a year had gone by since I had first thought of this idea when I mentioned it to my, at the time, future brother in law. He instantly believed in the idea and began to explain how we could accomplish this goal. The brainstorming began and after a short time GlobalOutdoors.com was born.

Dedications:
I personally dedicate this site to my family, with a special recognition to my grandparents Lacy and Dorothy Harber and my dad Terry Harber. I was born into a family of avid outdoorsmen. My family always made sure I was in the wild. When I was young I would ride around and look at deer or catch perch off the dock. As I grew a little older I was always supplied with the equipment and places to go on my own hunting or fishing adventures. It started with jackrabbits and black bass and has lead to harvesting Lion in South Africa and giant Marlin in Costa Rica.
My dad never failed to keep me in the woods or on the water. At this time he is in Florida where he runs a deep sea fishing charter. Dad has the record striped bass on Lake Texoma and has recently made the cover of fishing magazines in Florida. My grandparents have made a name for themselves in many areas. Among their success in business and their extreme philanthropy, hunting and wildlife conservation is their passion. Lacy and Dorothy have been on more than 50 safaris to Africa and have harvested animals from almost every corner of the world. They have never failed to express the great need for conservation and the economic support their adventures have created all over the world. My grandparents have also opened a wildlife museum using many of their collections from around the globe. This museum is set up in a still life fashion including a classroom and private collection of literature. Lacy and Dorothy Harber have always put others first in everything they do.
